CONTEST RULES
- Eligibility: Contest is open to legal residents
of
Mexico. - Quilts must have a Mexican theme
- Submitted quilts must measure
a minimum of 1.5 yards
(54 in) width and higth =2.25 square yards,
or
a maximum of 2 yards (72 in)width and higth = 4 square yards
However, your quilt doesn't have to be square, you can make it any shape you want as long as it is a minimum area of 216 inches and a maximum
area of 288 inches
- 2 Categories: quilts made with a Bernina and quilts made with a sewing machine other than a Bernina
- 1st prize (quilt made with a Bernina). a
one week trip to visit the Bernina factory in
Switzerland - 1st prize (quilt made with a sewing machine other than a Bernina): an Activa 230 Patchwork Edition.(The winner can alternatively choose to pay the difference to get a higher range model)
- a special acknowledgement will be given to the "Favorite quilt". voted by all the attendants to the awarding event.

- All works must be must be submitted by September 29 at
Quilting Studio, Galeana 123 col. San Angel Inn,
México, D. F., 01060
- All quilts must be labeled (quilt’s name, author’s name, date of completion) and have a sleeve attached to the back.
- Prizes will be awarded October 5, 1008 at
the World
Trade Center in
Mexico City - All the quilts will be returned to their owners at the end of the awarding ceremony.

- Abierto para quilters que son residentes legales en México
- Los
quilts deben medir un mínimo de 1.5 yardas de ancho y largo (o 2.25 yardas cuadradas) o un máximo de 2 yardas de ancho y largo (4 yardas cuadradas) y tener un tema mexicano. Su quilt no tiene que ser forzosamente cuadrado; pueden hacerlo de cualquier forma que quieran mientras mida un mínimo de 216 pulgadas o un máximo de 288 pulgadas de area.

categorías; qult hechos con una máquina Bernina y quilt hecho con una máquina de
coser de otra marca
- El
primer premio para la categoría de quilt hechos con una máquina Bernina: un
viaje todo pagado por una semana para visitar la planta de Bernina en Suiza (o
el equivalente en accesorios Bernina)
- Primer premio para la categoría de quilt hecho con una máquina de coser de otra marca: una Activa 230 Patchwork Edition (La ganadora puede elegir pagar la diferencia para obtener un modelo de un rango más alto)
- Se
entregará un reconocimiento especial al quilt votado como el favorito entre los
asistentes a la ceremonia de premiación
- Todas
las aspirantes deberán registrarse a más tardar el 31 de Agosto de 2008

con su nombre, dirección, número telefónico y nombre de su quilt.
- Todos
los trabajos deberán enviarse con fecha límite de septiembre 29,
2008 a

Con una foto del producto final y 5 fotos del proceso de producción- Todos
los quilts deberán estar etiquetados (nombre del quilt, nombre del / la autor /
autora, fecha en que se terminó el trabajo) y tener una manga pegada en la
parte trasera.
- La premiación será el 5 de octubre de 1008 en el World Trade Center de la Ciudad de México World Trade Center.
- Los trabajos serán regresados a sus dueñas después del evento de premiación.
